1. Who we are
Mogoo is a bicycle brand of the Abbas Bin Haider Group, distributed across the Middle East by Top Gear. This website, mogoobikes.com, is operated by Abbas Bin Haider General Trading LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), the owner of the Mogoo brand.
We are the controller of any personal data collected through this website — the “data controller” under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

2. The short version
This website has no contact form, no account sign-up, no newsletter and no shopping cart. There is nowhere on this site to type your personal details, and nothing to submit. We collect almost nothing: standard server logs, and whatever you choose to tell us if you email or message us. We run no advertising or tracking cookies. We have never sold personal data and we never will.
3. What we collect
a. Technical information, collected automatically
Our hosting provider’s servers keep standard access logs. These record your IP address, the date and time of your request, which page you asked for, the page that referred you, and your browser and operating system version. They exist so the site stays up and secure and so faults can be diagnosed. They are not used to build a profile of you.
b. What you choose to send us
If you email us, message us on WhatsApp, or telephone us, we hold what you send — your name, your contact details and whatever you tell us about your bike, your warranty claim or your distribution enquiry.
c. Analytics — only if you agree
We currently run no analytics and no advertising trackers on this site. We intend to add website analytics. When we do, it will load only after you consent through the cookie banner, and we will name the tool in this policy and our Cookie Policy before it goes live.
What we never collect here
- No payment card or bank details. You cannot buy a bike on this website — purchases happen on a retailer’s site or in their shop, under their terms.
- No delivery addresses.
- No accounts, no passwords, no newsletter list.
- No special-category or sensitive data. Please do not send it to us.
4. Why, and on what basis
| What we do | Data used | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Keep the site available, secure and free from abuse | Server logs | Legitimate interest in the security and integrity of our systems |
| Answer your email, WhatsApp message or call | What you send us | Legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us; where the contact concerns a purchase or claim, performance of a contract |
| Handle a warranty claim | Name, contact details, proof of purchase, bike details | Performance of our obligations under the Mogoo limited warranty and applicable consumer law |
| Discuss a distribution or stockist opportunity | Name, company, contact details | Legitimate interest in a business relationship you initiated |
| Measure how the site is used (not yet active) | Analytics identifiers | Your consent, from the moment you give it |
| Meet legal or regulatory obligations, or establish or defend legal claims | Relevant correspondence | Legal obligation and legitimate interest |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. When you email or WhatsApp us
The contact links on this site open your own email application or WhatsApp. That is deliberate — it means nothing is transmitted to us until you decide to press send.
A word about WhatsApp. Tapping our WhatsApp link takes you into WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta, not by us. From that point Meta’s own privacy policy and terms apply to the message, alongside ours for the content you send us. If you would rather not use Meta’s service, email or telephone us instead — both reach the same team.
6. Buying from a retailer
Mogoo bicycles are sold through retailers and marketplaces — Amazon, Noon, Carrefour, and local bike shops across the UAE and GCC. When you buy from one of them, they collect your payment and delivery details under their own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment information, and we do not get a copy of their customer list.
If you contact us about an order, please do not send us card numbers or full payment details. We do not need them and we do not want them.
7. Who we share it with
- Our hosting and email providers, who store the site and carry our email. They process data on our instructions.
- Other companies within the Abbas Bin Haider Group, including Top Gear, where they handle the matter you contacted us about — distribution, stockist supply or after-sales.
- Authorised Mogoo dealers and service centres, where a warranty claim needs to be handled locally.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
8. Where your data goes
We are based in the United Arab Emirates, so data you send us is handled in the UAE. Our website hosting runs on infrastructure located in Asia, with provider backups held in Singapore, so server logs may be stored outside the UAE.
Where a transfer falls under the GDPR, we rely on appropriate safeguards for countries without an EU adequacy decision — in practice the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in our contracts with the relevant providers. Where a transfer falls under the UAE PDPL or India’s DPDP Act, we transfer only as those laws allow. Ask us and we will give you more detail.
9. How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Warranty claim correspondence | For the life of the claim, then as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires the records to be kept |
| General enquiries that go no further | Up to 24 months from our last contact with you |
| Distribution and stockist enquiries | Up to 24 months, or for the life of the relationship if one begins |
| Server access logs | The short rolling period operated by our hosting provider, typically a matter of weeks |
| Your cookie-banner choice | In your own browser, until you clear it or it expires after 12 months |
You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it — for example where it relates to an open warranty claim.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights over the data we hold about you:
- Access — a copy of your data and an explanation of how we use it.
- Correction — have anything inaccurate or incomplete put right.
- Deletion — have your data erased where we have no good reason to keep it.
- Restriction — have us pause our use of it while a concern is sorted out.
- Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive what you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- Complain — to us, and to your data protection authority.
To use any of them, email topgear@abhgt.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, or write to the address in section 1. We reply within 30 days, free of charge. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing your data to someone else.
11. Region-specific rights
United Arab Emirates — Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL)
If you are in the UAE, the PDPL gives you the rights listed in section 10, including information about processing, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. The supervisory authority is the UAE Data Office, and you may complain to it if our answer does not satisfy you.
European Union and United Kingdom — GDPR
If you are in the EU or UK, Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR give you the rights in section 10, and you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority where you live or work — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. Please raise it with us first so we can try to put it right.
India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023
If you are in India, you may request a summary of your personal data and our processing of it, ask for correction or erasure, use our grievance route below, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated. Unresolved grievances can be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India.
United States
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Where a US state privacy law applies to you, you may request access, correction or deletion, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
12. Children
Mogoo makes bicycles for children, and children are very welcome to look at the bikes on this site. But this website is written for the adults who buy them, and there is nothing here for a child to sign up to or fill in.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through this website. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data — for example when we switch on analytics — we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top, and make significant changes obvious rather than leaving you to find them.
